A Boy

A boy stared out beyond his years
And could not wait for time
He rushed to taste the future
Towards a distant light
On past youth and freedom
Without knowing what he’d passed
Left all behind with innocence
And came to the edge at last
With age he turned to seek his path
The child - the boy - the man,
But love, nor gold, nor deep regret
Could bring back youth again

Adulthood seems made of endless work and lost dreams sometimes. Those moments are sad indeed. Thanks Sue!

We have good time when we were young but we realise it to late. I have the traduction for the sentence of the 5 november. Guy Fawkes Plot: "Souviens toi de ce 5 de novembre. Souviens toi de sa conspiration et de ses poudres. Souviens toi de ce jour, souviens t'en. A l'oublis je ne puis me résoudre."

Voilà that's all.

Take care of yourself, kiss

Russel tis too true alas although I don't miss the insecurity-if only you could do it all with a little more confidence at the time.

Carba thank-you that is lovely I'm sure I could make a poem for English students studying French with it.

Pat I intend to havea second childhood as soon as I get old enough

It was said that you can never go home again (I guess after leaving for your life). It took me awhile to realize what that seeming definitive meant.

Also consider: "How do you keep them down on the farm once they have seen gay paree?"

Thanks for visiting

Very eloquent. A part of being young is itching to become an adult, but childhood is so short and adulthood so long.
