Dreams

I
Dive,
Opalescent,
Through a pool,
Of scarlet birds,
Gilded in sun,
Splashed up,
Fragile as butterflies,
Confused,
As dreams.
Stolen thought,
Intrudes,
Rubies,
On streams,
Floating on pianos,
Confused,
As dreams.

Visions,
With omissions,
Untroubled,
I,
Dive,
Opalescent,
Through a pool,
Of scarlet birds,
Gilded in sun,
Chasing,
Fragile butterflies,
Confusing as dreams,
I,
Dive
Opalescent
Through a pool
Of scarlet butterflies

This was a shape poem too but they just re-align themselves. I'm essay'd out all I can see when I shut my eyes are Appendices.

Ah to dream! Which is more valuable to our accumulated knowledge, to experience the inner reality of dreams or the external reality of the world that surrounds the widow of our eyes (no answer needed, this is a rhetorical question)? Sue, just wanted to tell you what a wonderful poem this is!

Beautiful, just...dreamy...floatie-like. I wish I could find words like yours! Maybe I should eat a theasaurus for breakfast?

"visions with omissions"

I think it quite peculiar that when I read your beautiful poems I have one word or phrase that latches onto me like glue! My mind is still playing with "okra moon" and you give me "visions with omissions". Can't wait for the next. Cate

Hi, Sue. Lovely poem.

It's tricky this shape/blog thing isn't it? Not sure how to do it.

So - it will be a challenge.

Thanks every one, I sometimes think dreams are paintings of your feelings. A while ago I spent a whole night moving fridges and trying to negotiate halls and stairs full of cats.Haven't a clue why, but I was exhausted in the morning.

Laura if you eat all the theosaurus's they'll become extinct.

Some people have larger pictures I wonder if that would work. Cate have you a blog I can't find it's name on your profile?
